Privacy Policy
This is the privacy policy for starviewmarketing.com, the website of Star View Marketing, run by Brad Riddell in Austin, Texas. The short version: I collect as little as I need, I never sell your information, and you can ask what I have about you — or ask me to delete it — any time by emailing brad@starviewmarketing.com.
What I collect
Two kinds of information:
- Information you give me. When you fill out the contact form, I receive your name, email address, and whatever you write in your message. If you request one of my guides, I also note which guide you asked for.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies and collects data about how visitors use the site — pages viewed, time on page, approximate location, device, and browser type. This data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally to me.
How I use it
- To respond to your inquiry — that's the main one.
- To send you a guide you requested.
- To understand how people use the site so I can improve it.
- To measure whether my advertising works, using Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta Pixel.
Sending me a message does not sign you up for a newsletter or add you to a marketing list.
Third-party services
This site relies on a small set of outside services, each with its own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics — site usage statistics.
- Google Ads — advertising and conversion measurement.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — advertising measurement via the Meta Pixel.
- Calendly — call scheduling. If you book a call, Calendly collects the details you enter there.
- Notion — hosts the guides I share. Opening a guide link takes you to Notion's site.
Cookies and how to opt out
Cookies are small files stored by your browser that help analytics and advertising tools recognize repeat visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, install Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To limit ad personalization, visit Google's Ads Settings and Meta's Ad Preferences. Blocking cookies won't break anything important on this site.
Sharing
I never sell your personal information. I don't share it with anyone except the service providers listed above, which process it on my behalf, or where the law requires disclosure.
Retention
Form submissions and email conversations are kept for as long as they're useful to our conversation — typically no more than two years — and then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.
Your rights
Email brad@starviewmarketing.com and I will tell you what information I hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No forms, no runaround. If you're in a region with formal data-protection rights (like the GDPR or CCPA), those requests are honored the same way.
Children's privacy
This site is aimed at business audiences and is not directed at children under 13. I don't knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has submitted information here, email me and I'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated effective date. Meaningful changes won't be applied retroactively to information collected under an older version.
