A commercial services company in DFW

A DFW commercial services company had a one-page site it couldn't edit after its agency folded. We got access back, rebuilt it page by page, ran local ads, and visitors grew 306.8% in year one.

The challenge

This is the Business in a Box story. A family-owned commercial services company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area had been burned by agencies before. The latest one had built them a single-page website, then gone out of business, taking the login with it. The company had no access to its own site, no way to update a phone number or add a service, and no idea who was even hosting it.

Underneath that, the site was one page trying to sell five distinct service lines to two different kinds of customers: property managers and facilities teams across DFW and North Texas, and a growing enterprise segment. One page cannot rank for five services, and it was not converting the traffic it did get.

The approach

Step one: get the keys back

Before anything else, I worked directly with the hosting provider to prove ownership and regain access to the site. Then I moved everything into accounts the owner controls. That is a Business in a Box rule: the client owns the domain, the site, and every account. No agency, including mine, can lock them out again.

Step two: rebuild for search

I rebuilt the single page into a multi-page site with a dedicated page for each of the five service lines, each written to rank for what DFW property managers actually search, with click-to-call and a quote form on every page. Google Business Profile, tracking, and conversion reporting went in at the same time.

Step three: content and ads, every month

Each month added content tied to a specific service line and a specific part of the territory, so the site kept earning new search visibility. Google and Meta campaigns targeted DFW and North Texas with the services people were already searching for, pointed at the matching service page rather than the homepage.

Step four: read the numbers and keep tuning

Every call and form submission was tracked back to its source. Budget moved toward what produced quotes, and pages that converted well got more content behind them.

The results

Year one

  • Website visitors up 306.8%.
  • 92 conversions, a 4.62% conversion rate across the year.
  • In the final 30 days of year one: 16 form submissions at a 12.61% conversion rate, nearly three times the full-year average, as the content compounded.

The customers that changed the business

  • Enterprise accounts that never would have found a one-page site: a city government, a large energy provider, and a large restaurant chain.
  • The company now has more business than it can handle and is choosing which jobs to take.

What they own

  • The domain, the site, the Google Business Profile, the ad accounts, and the tracking. If we ever part ways, all of it stays with them.
